Overview |
Women are vanishing from the streets of Edinburgh and only one man knows the answers. David is a sadist with a double life. He divides his time between the marital home – shared with devoted wife Jeanette and young son – and his Secret House. The Secret House is where fantasies become horrible reality and where screams go unheard. Slowly Jeanette beings to realise that all is not well... |
Comment |
This was a hard book to read. VERY graphic. David is a complete sociopath, and reading his thoughts are really disturbing. Jeanette was a hard character to identify with at the beginning, and even as she got into her assertiveness classes she stopped being so passive, but was still hard to deal with. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. |
